This happened a few years back when i was still in secondary school. My cliches and i would hang around the west side area where we lived. It was around the holidays and we had been to almost every single corner of the west coast estate. Boredom was starting to feel us up. It was decided that we would visit a haunted area. Haw Par Villa would be it. Haw Par Villa known to be a famous tourist attraction had closed down due to some unknown situation probably due to failure in management. This “Theme Park” depicted hell in statues, rides and skits. Tortures such as burning the souls and beating them continuously were show in these statues.

I met up with the group around 11 for supper at pasir panjang market before we proceeded for the “Thrill Walk”. By the time we had consumed our food our watches showed 12.15. “Its ghost watching time” yelled one of my friend with a pinch of excitement. None of us had encounter any supernatural beings therefore fear was not in our minds.

We headed to the entrance and were greeted by tigers and dragons probably the “Guardians of the Gate”. Darkness enclave us as we swept through the pathway. flicking on our torches we ventured deeper into the “Theme Pak”. The only source of light was from our torches, which we shone at the statues that surrounded us. Then one of my friend did something which we were not really supportive of. He took out a spray can and started graffiti on the walls. At this we stopped and took a cigratte break. All went well when all of a sudden we heard noises like screams from hell, the tormented sound of tortured soul as the fires costume their bodies in the licking flame. We shrugged it of as we thought that it was part of the “Theme Park” when suddenly we realized something amiss…. “Why would there still be sounds at this time when there were no lights on, and furthermore that the theme park had closed down for sometime and there was no source of electricity. We soon panicked and grabbed the guy who was graffiti on the walls and sprinted to the entrance. We ran for all our life but the pathways were never ending and winding. We came to a halt when we saw something that shook us out of our skins. Hordes of chained up prisoners clothed in white were heading for us and leading them was a pair of weird beings who had the head of a horse and the other of a cow. What made a chill run up my spine was that they had no feet just hovering above the ground. My friends and i turned in the other direction and ran like mad keeping our view out of the hideous scene, as the voices of the screaming souls trailed behind us. We did not know how but managed to arrive at the entry point but continued to run……
