This incident occurrs during a RC organised tour to Pattaya and Bangkok in Thailand and I heard it sometime back. It was one of those school holidays in june and our RC organised a tour to Thailand with first stop at Pattaya. Our treasurer Mr. Tan was a joval character and is fearless and gutsy sort. They had travelled for many days without incident and reached a small Inn by the padi field where they would spend the night. The night was cold and poor Mr. Tan had to relieve himself.. He also decided to use the common toilet as there is a hot water boiler. So 2am in the morning, he got out of his room and walk outside along the corridor. It was quite dark and with only the light from a few small light bulb to guide him, he heads for the common toilet. After relieving himself, he wash up and heads back for his room.

Along the way, he met an old chinese man. HEY HE SAYS ITS NOT SAFE HERE AT NIGHT GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM QUICKLY AND DON’T COME OUT….after telling him.. the old man turn and walk away… Mr Tan was thinking shit man Pang Jio also kenna scolded… Feeling kinda piss he when back to his room and slept… Next day, they had to set out early. They woke up early and had breakfast at the Inn. Then as an after thought he look around for the old man. There was no old man among the fellow travellers. Then he turn to one of the boys serving food…. Hey boy I want to complaint.. last night I got scolded by an old man is that your night watch man or somebody??

The boy smile and says “Mr, we don’t have night watchman…”. It was later at the checkout counter that a cleaner told him. A few years back.. there was this old man a tourist from singapore who died of heart attack at the Inn… Anyway according to him. “he” don’t usually disturb people just wonders around the Inn at night….. Well tell that to Mr. Tan… next stop at Bangkok first thing he did was to visit a buddhist temple and buy a talisment…..:)
