This happened to me when I was 6 yrs old. On that fateful day, I woke up pretty early, around 6 in the morning. I heard my mum on the phone and thought of surprising her. Well, it was rare for me to rise so early. Thus, I rushed out of the room without any second thoughts. What I saw surprised me instead. There the phone was still in it’s place and no mum was in sight. But, my ‘mum’ was still having a conversation on the phone. I was scared stiff not knowing what to do. I thought of running into my grandma’s room but was so afraid that whatever was talking in my mum’s voice would be in there. With my limited knowledge of the prayers(what do you expect I was only six) i tried reciting whatever i know. On an impulse, I just ran back into my room which i shared with my mum and hid under the blanket.

In a while, my prayer was answered..heheh..I prayed for my granny to wake up early! I heard her stirring and waited for the lights to be switched on first to be doubly sure. It was my granny..I ran after her as she went into the toilet. In fact I went into the toilet with her, scared as I was. My ‘mum’ was still talking on the phone till that point of time. The first thing that I asked my granny was where was my mum? Well, she said my mum had gone to work early on that day. I then asked her if she heard my mum’s voice which by then was fading. She said no and gave me a look..thus, I told her what had just happened and asked her if she was sure she didn’t hear anything coz I sure heard it loud and clear. My granma said it must have been the spirits trying to test my strength and will. I must have passed the test cos’ it did nothing more than scaring me.

The next thing that happened to me was less scary. I had a cat and one night as i was lying on my front watching tv, I felt my cat brushing against my leg. A naughty thought came to me. I kicked hard to find that I was kicking into nothing. I was shocked and turned around. My cat was nowhere in sight. I looked around the house and saw my cat at the other end of the room. Scary..!!!

In secondary school, I shifted to a house in Tampines. There was a day when I had my friends over. There was three of them. My two bestfriends and a guy. This guy and one of my friend were going together at that time One of my bestfriend went straight to my room upon reaching to my house. She was in love with my bed and was asleep in a while. The couple stayed in the living room and was having lovers’tiff. So I too made way to my room to give them more privacy. As I was dozing off, my bestfriend came into my room and asked me what my other bestfriend and I was discussing about? As she looked at my sleepy face, she gave me a look and asked if she could use the toilet.

As she went to the toilet, being a host, I went out to check out on her boyfriend and to ask them what had been discussed. Instead, the boyfriend shot me the same question my bestfriend had asked and that was what my other bestfriend and I was talking about?

I told him that we were both asleep, but he kept on insisting that we were not. In a while, his girlfriend came out from the toilet and went into my room. She came out later and told me was surprised to see my other bestfried was really asleep. Both she and her boyfriend swore that they heard us talking..till now, we were still puzzled.
