My sister and I were at Bedok reservoir. We had been jogging and making quite a lot of noise. I might add when my sister suggested sitting down near the water’s edge to rest. It was near dusk at that time but my sister had still wanted to stay there as the water was clear and it was a great way to unwind.
We were seated about 5 feet apart from each other on the rocks. I was daydreaming when suddenly i heard a splash followed by my sister’s screaming. One of the big rocks behind us had flung itself into the water. My sister asked me whether i had been the one who had thrown the rock but i denied it saying that i didnt have the strength to and besides, i had been daydreaming and my hands were in full view of her. She tried to come up with a possible reason for such an occurence such as: crows dropping the rocks from above, but i ruled it out saying that the rock had come from BEHIND us and not above and besides, a crow couldnt have carried a rock THAT big. We both looked at each other scared but not wanting to admit it. We walked home in silence not wanting to say anything in case something was behind us.
Just a word of advice to all those who enjoy jogging at night. Think again, you never know what might be following you. It might be human or even worse, it might not be.
