This story is re-told by my cousin who apparently encounters it with her friends.
For the uninformed, Red House is located near the Pasir Ris Chalet and had rumors that on full moon nights, the two stone lions guarding the house can be seem with streaks of “blood” tears.
My cousin was with her group of friends at the chalet when they feel bored and decided to find some excitement. So a group of them, lians & bengs (oops, sorry is girls & boys) walked the path leading to the House; It was the only way in and, out. They reached there exactly midnight, the “magical” hours of the unrest.
The metal gate was locked but they managed to get in through the hole. The house was pitch dark, luckily someone brought a torch. One of her friend kept tripping on nothing! It meant something is trying to possess him so he decided not to go in with the rest. Being a loyal friend, my cousin stay with him while the rest started to explore the house.
After a while, the whole group of them started to run out, screaming for their two friends to get out. Unable to react fast, my cousin got left behind and she saw a black man (literally black, not the African) with two red eyes storming out from the house. He seems to be chasing the gang and didn’t even notice my cousin.
But my cousin had no choice but to walk behind the man if she wants to leave that horrifying place. She kept a safe distance from the man and every step was taken with caution as she was afraid he would suddenly turn back and harmed her.
Suddenly he stopped! He stood with his back facing my cousin and started to laugh loudly. But he never turn back to look at my cousin, which is indeed fortunate for my cousin. Soon they reached a bend and my cousin couldn’t see him anymore. Horrifying thoughts race through her mind; what if he was waiting for her at the other end? Or he suddenly appeared behind her?
She couldn’t stand staying there a minute longer and decided to do what she should have done in the first place. She started to dash all the way until she reached her chalet room. The rest of the gang was in the room and they were all asking her to tell what happened. To think they left her behind, with friends like that, what more could she ask for…
