This happened when I was an NSF, when I was outfield. Two of my section-mates went to pee at this place, I did not follow them but I remembered distinctively that they went together. In the middle of the night, and I was “on watch” and I realised that one of them couldn’t sleep and kept turning and tossing (this is rare because all of us are normally extremely tired at night). He then got up and said to me, “, something’s disturbing me.”
I knew what he meant. But I didn’t see or feel anything, so I just told him not to worry, go to sleep, there’s nothing here and I’m on watch.
3 months later, when we were in our bunks, he revealed that he checked with the other guy. Both of them had the same dream — that a dark figure was pointing to the spot where they peed and asking them to go there. And when he woke up and talked to me that night, the figure in his dream was actually seated next to me.
That was the most spooky thing I ever encountered when I was in Army. I’ve had other experiences as well, but I chalk them down to my own overly-active imagination. I think I was lucky that everything went smoothly for me. My camp was extremely old (built when the British was still in Singapore) and there were a lot of stories. Many supposedly “dirty” spots in my camp as well.
