SELECTING A RESIDENCE…
Before the purchase of a residential property or properties for investment purposes, what other aspects must be considered other than the surrounding environment?

Firstly, the owner’s eight characters must be used to calculate the auspicious direction, followed by the selection of a residence favourable to the eight characters. If the direction of the house does not match the favourable direction of one’s eight characters, it will not be entirely favourable no matter how good the Fengshui is. However, it will be worse if the residence itself has an unfavourably direction which also does not match with the eight characters.

It is rather difficult for the layman to select the right residence that matches one’s eight characters and has good Fengshui. However, if you do not wish to consult a geomancer when you are selecting a residence, here are some suggestions that you may want to try out.

During the viewing of a residence, if a comfortable and delightful feeling is felt while you are walking in and around the residence and you also have the urge to purchase the house, it will usually turn out to be a suitable residence for you. In the case where disputes and different views occur during the viewing session, such residence will normally turn out to be unfavourable.

If the frequency of your mind does not match that of the residence, conflicting feelings will occur and discomfort can be felt. On the contrary, if both frequencies are the same, you will feel comfortable. In geomancy, frequency is of utmost importance.

However, if the construction is not completed and selection can only be done based on the plans, the method of selection which is based on ‘feelings’ cannot be used. In addition, if a residence has got good Fengshui now but its luck cycle could deteriorate or has some conflicting force a few years later, this method also cannot be used. Thus, the accuracy of this method is not high. Even the instincts of a professional geomancer may go wrong in this case.

Meanwhile, if your lucky star is shining above you, your luck may improve further even if you have moved into an unfavourable house. This happens when certain objects which even professional geomancer would not suggest are being placed at spots where there are conflicting forces. On the other hand, if the owner is not aware of this arrangement and the objects are removed when he is having good luck, undesirable accidents may occur.
