Have you ever encountered a situation similar to me? Well, I am about to tell you what really happened. I believed that there is someone out there who is trying to assume my identity. I heard that they called such person a doppelganger. Initially, I would not believe it when my friends claimed that they saw me at places that I have never been before or been I started to believe them. I have no idea about this person, but people have been telling me that this person looked exactly like me. Initially, I wouldn’t have any of these. But then, one fine day while I was in a bus, and the bus was approaching a red light and went to a stop, I saw this person. He happened to be waiting for a bus. The bus station is near the traffic junction. Coincidentally, we locked into each other eyes for a few moments. And mind you, I could see that he was staring and smiling evilly at me. It almost takes the living daylights out of me, if not for the bus resuming its journey.

For your information, I was a timid, homely and a goody-goody person. But I have heard from people who saw the other me, that I (or should I say the other person) am just the opposite. He likes to patronize discos, pubs and so on. To his circles of friends and acquaintances, he called himself using my name. It is a lucky thing that we do not share the same hand phone and house number. I could not imagine what will all these commotions bring to me.

But there was one incidence that I could not forget. It was Christmas time, and I was given allowance to take some time-off for preparation. However, my supervisor and a few others of my colleagues claimed that I return to work to complete some unfinished work. And it really took me by surprise coz my family members all can vouched that I was not at work during that time. But the scariest part is that he is able to do the work that I am doing. In another sense, he knows what I am doing. I wouldn’t know what this person or creature is capable of doing in the future. I can only pray that that time won’t come.
