I am known to be someone that tends to forget things. It would easily slip off my mind if not being reminded. For that i have learnt a valuable lesson..
I have just gave birth to my youngest, a girl, now 2 months old. Baby girl is long awaited by everyone in the family especially my husband. He always wanted a girl as the first two are heroes. In Islam, we usually take the baby placenta back home and bury it the next day. But overjoyed with all, my hubby and me forget about it totally. Furthermore, he place it under the bed where its being well hidden ( which he doesn’t meant it to be hidden). By the 4th day, i started to smell a faint smell but due to my condition, i couldn’t bend down and soon it slip my mind. I did thought of asking my hubby to search the smell, but typical me, its slips..
On the night itself, baby girl kept crying and crying when clocks hits 7pm. Malay believe that 7pm is where all the “things” starts lurking around. Being an experience mum, i manage to soothe her down and put her back to sleep. Night came and its my hubby turn to take over. I usually enjoy the first 2 months as my hubby is pretty helpful about feeding the baby @ night. I was fast asleep when suddenly i heard a faint baby cries. Immediately, i jolted up from my sleep and finds my hubby trying to coax baby girl. Seeing me awake, my hubby hand over baby girl to me.
While trying to hush baby girl, i saw my hubby act in a way that i never did like. For ur info, every time his expression change in that manner and the way he walk up and down, that ” thing” is lurking nearby. He knows all this while he was sent by his mum to Indonesia for study in Islam n all. Hubby never like to tell me about all these but being his wife for almost 5 years , how can i not know..
I saw my hubby lips move as if he’s saying something then suddenly baby girl stop crying. Hubby ask me to get back to sleep and let him stay up for the night. Not wanting to ask more, i just go back o sleep. Next day, hubby was to work in the morning but the workplace called and ask him to work the afternoon shift. That means he will be back at 12 midnight. I never like that afternoon shift things anyway.
After hubby went out to work, i took the chance to clean up what i could. Furthermore my two boys are all taking their afternoon nap. As i bend slowly and reach under the bed to see if there’s anything that’s not suppose to be in there, i felt like a meat thing . Quickly i pull out and saw my baby placenta. I was so shocked and what happen last night came back to mind.
I call up my hubby and told him to bury the placenta the moment he’s back from work, by hook or by crook fear of my baby safety as afraid the thing will come back again at night .. Hubby reached home at 1154pm and he after he clean up the placenta n put it in a mud made container, he went to the back of our flat. I felt sorry for hubby as one have to have a lot of guts to go there alone especially in the night. Lots of “things” are lurking behind there and your bound to see it if you are stupid enough to be there after 12. As i pray for my hubby safety, i heard a sudden knock on the window. I kept quiet for awhile while cuddling my baby girl , then heard my hubby voice say ” Asalamualaikum, its me your hubby”. Its best that one greets that way so we know its human that’s outside because these things cant greet in that word.
I quickly open up and hubby ask me to open the door. HE straight went in and i saw the placenta still not buried yet. I was about to boil in rage when he calm me down. He explains,
” While i was entering the back gate behind, i was about to dig a hole when i spotted a white figure staring at me. When i look up, i saw like a Shroud but that thing was facing the back towards me. Immediately, i grab the placenta and ran off”. I could only keep mum. So its true what the cuzzie said. His cuzzie lives right next to our block and is on the 5th floor. She did mention once that she saw a shroud standing under the tree at the back of my flat. I then ask my hub to place the placenta at the kitchen and go to sleep.
That night, i heard all kinds of noises. Once again , baby girl kept crying and she doesn’t even want to be put back in her baby crib. All night my hubby and me stay up on our guard. There were even sound of someone knocking , scratching the window and banging. Once, for a few minutes, we both heard a lady crying outside our window. Very faint and very sad. She then would laugh and cry ..
When dawn breaks, my hubby quickly finds another spot and bury it there. Since then we both doesn’t experience anymore weird happenings. Expect at some time as our place is considered ” their playground and home”. Well tell you all about that some other time.
