It is to symbolize that the Lord Jesus or Mother Mary is weeping because they are pained by our sins. The weeping statues mystify a lot of people, because sometimes the blood coming from the statues’ eyes are not thrown on there by random people with no life, but they mysteriously flowed out of the statues’ eyes.
