A statue of the Virgin Mary weeping blood is not a case of haunting. It is rare but not uncommon for statues of the Virgin Mary, or a statue of Christ Jesus to weep blood or sometimes oil. It is to symbolize that the Lord Jesus or Mother Mary is weeping because they are pained by our sins. The weeping statues mystify a lot of people, because sometimes the blood coming from the statues’ eyes are not thrown on there by random people with no life, but they mysteriously flowed out of the statues’ eyes. There are no taps or any device behind inside the statues to trigger fake blood. These sightings are very common in Italy, especially near cathedrals, churches, or sanctuaries.
