When CHIJ Katong Primary now stands, about 15 years ago stood the original early 1930s grounds. It was pulled down in the 1990s for the new school which was pulled down last year. Anyway, the original building was seriously spooky – the canteen toilet on the ground floor had the reputation of being haunted. The corridors were dark and gloomy no matter what time of day. Nothing cvould be as eerie as that school.
