When I first got into BMT, I’ve already heard lots of ghost stories from friends about how errie that place is and how haunted the rooms are. Of course at that time I didn’t completely believed what they claimed, and took it with a pinch of salt.
Surprisingly, when I went there, the instructors were indeed a little superstitious. Like the case of not bringing pork into the bunk, (because of the presence of a muslim ghosts perhaps?), and also not going to toilet at 3.30am in the morning alone. Well, since they ordered, we took the instructions.
Then after a while, some people started claiming that their cupboards creaked and their beds shook at nite while they slept. Well, for the cupboard creaking, I know it is because the officers sometimes come around at nite to check whether our cupboards are locked. As for the bed shooking, it is done by a few of my cheeky bunk buddies who would creep under people’s beds late at nite and shake from underneath. I never joined them, but always just giggled from my bed. And I would always have to try very hard not to laugh when someone told me that their bed shook at nite.
One nite, shortly after I got to sleep, I felt that someone was shaking my bed. “Must be one of those idiots, think I don’t know what you guys are doing?” I thought. The shakes started getting harder, and I wanted to give them a scare instead. So I slowly removed my mosquito coil, and in a burst, bent my head down and shouted “WWAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!”
I could never forget what I was greeted by, NOBODY. And I got a few grumbles from my bunk mates asking why the hell I am shouting at night. I was totally speechless for the next couple of days when people told me again that their bed shook.
